Colour Doppler Studies Service

Obstetric Colour Doppler :

Obstetric color Doppler is an advanced ultrasound technique used during pregnancy to assess the blood flow in the fetus, placenta, and maternal blood vessels. It provides crucial information about the fetal and placental circulation and helps identify potential complications that could affect fetal growth and well-being.

A-V fistula mapping :

Arteriovenous (A-V) fistula mapping is a procedure used primarily in the context of preparing for hemodialysis in patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) or chronic kidney disease (CKD). The mapping process involves assessing the vascular anatomy and suitability of veins and arteries to create a fistula, which is a surgical connection between an artery and a vein. This fistula provides reliable vascular access for dialysis treatments.

Upper limb / lower limb doppler (arterial+ venous system) :

Upper limb and lower limb Doppler ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging technique used to evaluate the arterial and venous systems in the arms and legs. This procedure helps assess blood flow, detect vascular abnormalities, and diagnose conditions such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), arterial occlusion, and peripheral arterial disease (PAD).

Carotid Doppler :

Carotid Doppler ultrasound, often referred to as carotid Doppler, is a non-invasive imaging technique used to evaluate the carotid arteries, which are the major blood vessels supplying blood to the brain, neck, and face. This test is essential for assessing the risk of stroke and other vascular conditions by measuring blood flow and identifying any abnormalities in the carotid arteries.

Hepato-Portal Doppler :

Hepato-portal Doppler ultrasound is a specialized imaging technique used to assess the hepatic (liver) and portal venous systems. This non-invasive test evaluates blood flow in the liver and surrounding structures, helping diagnose various conditions related to liver function and portal circulation.

Renal Doppler :

Renal Doppler ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging technique used to assess blood flow in the renal arteries and veins of the kidneys. This procedure helps evaluate the vascular status of the kidneys, detect potential abnormalities, and guide the management of various renal conditions.
